Our Largest Affordable Housing Project to Date

Grayshott & District Housing Association are celebrating the start of their largest affordable housing building project. After years of planning the ground is now broken on their site at Crossways Road in the centre of the village.

Fourteen one- and two-bedroom flats with allocated parking and communal gardens are being built on land that the Grayshott & District Housing Association (G&DHA) owns. The flats will be for rent to people with a local connection through living or working locally and have a low income. They have been designed to fit in with the nearby village Conservation Area. At over £2 million this project marks the largest investment made in the village for the community in a very long time.

G&DHA is a small local charity run by volunteers with skills linked to housing management, supported by a part time administrator.

“We are so pleased to be starting building after all the planning and local consultations” said Teresa Jamieson, Chairman of Grayshott & District Housing Association. “The first flats should be completed in autumn 2020. Some of these will be for re-housing some of our existing tenants. However, after those moves, we will be offering the remaining flats to people in housing need on our waiting list”.

People wishing to join the waiting list need to complete an application form which can be obtained from Grayshott.housing@gmail.com
